Celebrating the New Year with our Norwegian diving instructor- Halvard!
A couple of days after we arrived in Koh Tao, in the south of Thailand, the New Year celebrations started-'Songkram' in Thai. We arrived onland after our first deep water scuba dive at about 12 noon and everyone, Thai as well as tourist, were already drinking and dancing in the streets! Songkram is a water festival and as you can tell by the pictures below we spent the afternoon and evening drinking beer, splashing water on everyone and generally getting wet! That is, Chris did the splashing and I did the snapping!
