Washing up following dinner- they had a well in their garden!!!

We were invited to our hotel owners house for grilled seafood dinner where we met Didi, our new German friend who's the manager of the local 5 star hotel L'an Bien.

Arriving Mui Ne 22/11/09

Back on that train- en route to Mui Ne, south south south we go...

...and a local ladyboy to dance and have fun with

...a hot new nightclub with a swimming pool and private beach access...

Within hours of arriving in Mui Ne, Chris had managed to find:
...a couple of Vietnamese sisters with a cheap, new hotel
...a vintage Vespa that he borrowed (and is still borrowing) for free...

Arriving at the train station in Mui Ne morning of the 22/11/09
Cake, cake and more cake! Silje, Aino, Linda

Saying bye to the girls yet again. Little did we know we'd see them again in about 3 days! (Hertta was back at the hotel with a dose of the Hoi An sickness!)

Sad to leave- our room for 3 weeks at 6 pounds (60 kroner) a night!!!

Quties!

It rained and it rained and it rained...

Linda and Hertta

Our favourite place in Hoi An- Cafe Tam Tam. Spent many hours here- eating cake, drinking cocktails and updating the blog!

Our Finnish travel companions- Aino, Hertta and Linda joined us in Hoi An after diverting to Laos for a couple of weeks. Aino is having a special moment with a chocolate tarte!

Sick days in Hoi An!

Lazy afternoons at the beach- Hoi An

A rare sight; Chris reading!!!

Last days in Hoi An 21/11/09

Grilled squid (blekksprut)and beers were served on the beach!

Our favourite beach lady- Chris and Lulu did not stop laughing once they'd set each other off. This purchase of a peanut bar took about 15 minutes by the time they'd stopped laughing!

Finally up to date!!!!

We can't quite believe it!! Finally, after months of being behind due to the Chinese internet police, we are now after hours of hard work up to date with the blog!!!!

We'll probably be staying in Hoi An for a few more days and then travel further down the coast to Mui Ne, before stopping off in Ho Chi Min City/ Saigon for a few days. Then it'll be time to leave Vietnam for Cambodia. We've had an amazing time here in Vietnam, the people are incredibly warm and welcoming, the scenery beautiful. But we are now feeling quite excited about getting to Cambodia, where we'll hopefully be spending 3 months or so.

Terrace view from Son Bar on our way back from our beach

One of the many reasons it was impossible to leave...

4 km bike ride to the beach, undertaken religiously whilst in Hoi An. Any wonder we stayed so long?

Another feeding frenzy! The fish didn't stand a chance!

Bautiful Hoi An continued!

Chris tucking in again!

A local street seller whom I became friends with.

A little pointless, Silje?

Bautiful Hoi An continued!

Shouldn't you be driving the fire engine, not the bike, Chris?

Yet more tailoring....Just couldn't stop!!! The second of Chris' Crombie coats- stole the design off Crombie and Paul Smith for this one off version!

Beautiful Hoi An
