Hanoi

Vietnamese street seller

The smiles were soon wiped off our faces after this rickshaw driver took us further away from our hotel than we were when we were picked up. It became apparent the driver had had one two many!!!

Early morning breakfast arriving in Hanoi, coffee and croissants- the french colonial influence very apparent!

Gia Lam train station, Hanoi, arriving 4 am

Silje, still loving the photo's, I was intrigued to see that the french colonial influence is alive and well, what do you suppose influenced the carcass on the bike, looks like it could be outside our local halal butcher's shop!! did you pay the fare on the rickshaw??? Will inbox you sometime with some news and goss, in the meantime, happy travelling! ps. did Chris leave his razors behind along with the 6kg in weight????

  2. Hi Kim,
Yeah we decided to pay the fare- although infuriating, I don't suppose rickshawing is the most enjoyable of professions and I felt for the guy, despite nearly killing us jumping the red light!!!
Quite like the wild beard myself! LoL!!!
    Look forward to the mail!
