Koh Tao, south Thailand 10/04-24/04/10

Not the least bit impressed by the 10 hour bus journey from Bangkok to the south east coast of Thailand. No seats, 4am break down! Relieved to have left Bangkok on time though!

Finally arriving on the coast- at 7am!

Welcomed by the beautiful Thai sunsets on the very first night in Koh Tao!

The pool diving dog!
Couldn't stop jumping into the water with us, climbed the pool-side steps out of the water like a human, and in he went again!

View of the island of Koh Tao

Chris and Halvard, our diving instructor on the boat after the last 18 metre dive!
Under the sea we encountered sting rays, moray eels, angel fish, trigger fish, black-tip sharks and tons of beautiful other fish and corals. A mind-blowing experience! Unfortunately the dive was too deep for our camera, so you'll just have to take our word for it!

Checking my buddy's equipment before the dive!

Dive preparations

Halvard giving us the stamp of approval after our exam!!
Finally certified Open Water Scuba Divers!!! Yay!!!!

Aow Leuk, our favourite beach on Koh Tao.
Spent the days eating, drinking, swimming and sun-bathing!

Sunsets from our balcony

We felt pretty crazy that Wednesday morning when we woke up and decided to go for a bit of Crazy Golf and a refreshing beer at 12 noon!

Halvard and Chris enjoying a sunset beer!

A beautiful lantern was sent up into the sky on the 23rd April in memory of Phil's sister, Julia.

Time to leave Koh Tao for Khao Lak in search of turtles!!!!
