Christmas in Kampong Chhnang 2009

Our downstairs neighbours

Christmas Day outing- Kampong Chhnang is pretty flat!!!

Didn't fancy the chickens hanging upside down in the market covered with flies, so it was fish for Christmas dinner this year!

A little something before you buy your own real-life gecko, Chris!

Oooh, how exciting!!! Father Christmas managed to find his way to the village of Sala Lek Prahm!

Enjoying an alternative Christmas dinner- with chillies, soy sauce, fish sauce and rice!

Norwegian smogesbord Christmas dinner. With cheese, cold meats, pate and coffee! Not bad going! Though Christmas was awfully quiet this year. By the time we'd watched all the South Park Christmas episodes and eaten all the chocolates before it could melt, there wasn't a great deal left to do but lay around and moan at the heat!

House all ready for Christmas to arrive!

Little Christmas Eve- decorating the house!

First day in Sala Lek Prahm village- previous volunteers taking us around the market, making sure the locals charge us local prices, not tourist prices!
