Last day in Saigon 08/12/09

Our baguette breakfast being prepared for the journey to the Mekong Delta, en route to Cambodia!

Not feeling too clever the next morning...

Getting jiggy in Saigon

Aion enjoying her sock and tinsel birthday present!
Socks and flip flops- a very common sight in Vietnam and Cambodia, for those who don't want any part of their skin to darken from the sun. A sign of being poor, as those with the darkest skin colour are the peasants and farmers!

Christmas buffet at the Saigon Hilton (or something like that...) on Aino's 20th birthday! We ate and we ate... Christmas food section with carved turkey and roast potatoes, seafood section, sushi, vietnamese soup section, spring rolls, stews, salads, cheese and biscuits, cakes and desserts, ice creams, coffees etc etc...

Linda and Chris (and me on the back) in Saigon traffic- the busiest we've seen in south east Asia so far. Though not crazier than that in Ulan Bataar- nowhere near!
